What's the latest in Cabbagetown Real Estate this Winter?
Cabbagetown - so much can be said about the stunning homes that lie within its boundaries and the people that make up this wonderful neighbourhood. It is one of the city's more carefully preserved communities; it is not uncommon to see walking tours reading the plaques out front of the unique collection of Victorian era homes. New independent restaurants and boutiques are popping up all the time with great reviews. Schools and amenities make this community a great hub for families and individuals.
As it goes in Toronto, every neighbourhood sees it's revival and for Cabbagetown residents who have been living in the area can finally say that it is here. Many homes have gone through delicate and extensive renovations. Several of the once rooming houses have been converted back into their grand and glorious selves with more pride in ownership than ever before.
The 2014 outlook for Real Estate in Cabbagetown looks promising with a healthy number of homes predicted to go on the market for sale later this Winter and in early Spring. Values remained stable in 2013, which saw many homes selling quickly and for their asking prices and even some multiple offer bidding wars. Purchasers are attracted to Cabbagetown's unique offering of homes and proximity to the downtown core. Sackville Street continues to fetch some of the historically highest prices in the area. Many people are beginning to see the value on Streets like Ontario, Berkeley and Seaton as they offer some of the largest lots in the area coupled with excellent sized homes offering generous square footage and parking.
The best choices in homes usually come out in May, but a few people get going early and try to beat the Spring rush.
